Could anyone email me a picture of Marguerite Henry.?
Here is a link with her picture: http://www.mistyofchincoteague.org/mhenr...
She died in 1997. When she wrote and published "Stormy, Misty's Foal" in 1963 (the sequel to "Misty of Chincoteague"), I was 4 years old. She lived in the small town of Wayne, IL -- about two blocks from my aunt. I still have a personally autographed first edition of that book. My aunt would take me over to her house, and Margurite Henry read the book to me while I was sitting on her lap!
Yes, this is a true story.

I'm trying to find Marguerite Patten's Christmas Pud-Cast that everyone is talking about. What's the URL?
Apparently she makes Christmas pudding in under 10 minutes using anchor butter and a microwave - my mum is coming over to mine this Christmas and i need to pretend I know how to cook!
I'm trying to find Marguerite Patten's Christmas Pud-Cast that everyone is talking about. What's the URL?
Pudding Ingredients
50 g butter 50 g cherries
50 g plain flour 50 g currants
One teaspoon mixed spice juice of half a lemon
75 g white breadcrumbs 2 eggs
100 g soft dark brown sugar 2 tablespoons of treacle
150 g sultanas 1 tablespoon of golden syrup
75 g raisins 50 ml orange juice
50 g dates 75 ml apple juice
Method
Sieve all the dry ingredients together and mix well.
Stir in all remaining ingredients until mixed.
Lightly grease a half-litre (one pint) microwave-safe pudding basin and fill with the mixture.
Cover with clingfilm and make a slit in the top to allow steam to escape. Cook in microwave on high for 10 minutes.
Allow to stand for 10 minutes after cooking.
Sprinkle with brandy and serve.

It doesn't help that up till yesterdays ultrasound i was calling her tristan be cause i had decied it was a boy.
Isabelle or Marguerite? for baby girl?
isabelle, that is clearly what you want...no matter how many times you change the babies name you always come back to isabelle and you already told everyone that was gonna be her name so i think that you already chose!
Reply:There is a girl in my church that I used to babysit and her name is Marguerite and I think it is the greatest name ever. It's a very girl name I think.
Reply:isabelle.
Reply:If a name "came" to you.. then use it.. I love Marguerite! it's really beautiful.. I was going to call my daughter Natalie.. but then "Maddie" just came to me so I went with that.. I think she chose her own name!
Reply:I like both names very much. GO with your gut, I know a little girl named Marguerite and they call her Margo for short..very cute. Good Luck
Reply:Why not name her Marguerite Isabelle Pearl. It isn't uncommon for someone to have 3 names and then their last name. Just a thought.
Reply:I have a niece named Isabella...they call her Izzy and she is adorable.
Reply:Who cares if its close to your Great Grandmothers name, that is a wonderful tribute! And it doesnt matter what you told everyone, its your baby =)! Why dont you wait to see her before you decide. Seeing her will help you decide in an instant! Also, realize with names that long, people will want to call her something shorter, like Belle or Maggie, can you stand having her called one or the other? Good luck.
Reply:Marguerite is beautiful!
Reply:Isabelle
Reply:Forget that you told everyone anything at all. That doesn't matter one bit. You are pregnant, therefore your moods and feelings are changing every second! Back to the names-I think that Marguerite Pearl is beautiful and the fact that it is so close to your great grandmothers name, I think it would be such a touching tribute to her that it makes the name more beautiful to me! I also do like the name Isabelle Pearl though. People can call her Isa (ee-sa) or Belle for short if you want, I don't know if you are Latin American. But I think I would choose Marguerite because of the tribute to your GG.
Reply:Marguerite is nicer.
Why tell everyone what you are naming the child yet?
Reply:Isabelle is too common these days go with Marguerite its nice
Reply:I prefer Isabelle..you can nick name her Belle also
good luck

I need information on the following plants,?
I need information on the following plants, the information I need is: Sun or shade or both, spacing, and?
other information continued water requirements, container or ground, colors available.
Impatiens
Sweet Potato Vine (BLACKIE), (Marguerite)
Dusty Miller
Marigold
Pepper Golden Summer
Petunia (Blue Spread), ( Red Spread)
Tomato Beefmaster
Double Impatiens- white,red,rose on white
I need information on the following plants,?
I can can help with a couple
The pepper needs about 2ft dia growing space
The beefmaster needs about 3 ft dia growing space
I ain't a pansy man so I can't help with the rest
Reply:Impatients (my personal favorite-year 'round):
pots-3 or 4 inches apart (I put 3 in a regular size hanging basket, for instance).
ground-6 inches apart (ya don't have to be exact)
Sweet Papas (great choice):
pots-1 per bigger pot.
ground- 1 per side of porch (for instance). Potatoes will grow deeper than wide but, vine will be 20/30 feet.
Marigold- they don't like pots here. Ground-10 inches apart.
Peppers:
pots-1 per pot. You can plant a few petunias or impatients around the left over space if ya want. Choose a color that will accent the pepper plant.
ground- 20 inches (there abouts).
petunia same as impatients
tomato:
pot-1 in 5 gallon bucket or same size (deep), cage and stake when you plant.
ground- 30 inches, cage and stake, too.
double impatients more delicate than regular, same instructions.
Water everything thoroughly every time they get dryish or if you see them wilting, just give them a little drink and you can practically watch them perk back up.
Use SuperThrive 1/4 tsp per gallon water when you plant and every 6 months. You can use miracle grow every week or when ya feel like it.
All impatients prefer shade and don't mind a little sun. They don't like hot and will die when it gets hot (June, July)
sweet potato Full Sun but, they might grow into the shade when they are climbing so that's ok.
marigolds, peppers, tomato-Full Sun.
petunias like full sun AND like sun with shaddy part time.
All these flower types you have chosen come in lots of colors. It's hard to choose...I like to by 6 paks of these particular bedding plants and if ya wanna try seeds, pick up some zennias. Zennias go perfect with this combination you have chosen.
P.S. Don't forget to put wholes in the buckets for drainage. I know they are ugly but, tomatoes love them. You can paint them.

Marguerite Perrin on Trading Spouses?
So, does anyone else agree with me that they should have paired Marguerite with an Extremist Pro-Athiesm Family, or even a Muslim Family..rather than a militant African American family?
Marguerite Perrin on Trading Spouses?
I honestly don't think it would matter. No matter who they put her with, she would still be on her holier than thou pedestal, shaking her finger in circles, screaming "I'm not listening" or going into the bathroom and forcing herself to dry heave.
PS: Part two is next Friday...gotta watch
Reply:They already did!! It was on Wifeswap though, i think. She is crazy. And I was on answers recently, and I actually saw her profile! Her name is"god warior" and it is actually her.She called the cute childrens show, Backyardigans, dacksided! I think everything that isn't "god related," is dark in her world.
Reply:If you ask me, they put two nuts together!!! I don't think they should have used either of them!
Reply:You mean I missed it!
I was looking forward to that.
Reply:was she that crazy fat lady!
Reply:I think she should hook up with Bill O Reilly

An Acrostic for Marguerite. I hope you like it.?
"marguerite'
Many times shes saved me,
And held me by my hand.
Reaching cross the time zones
Gladly listening to my rants.
Understanding all my anger
Even when it's very late
Right there when I need her
In fact she is a blast.
To her I owe my sanity
Even to this very day.
An Acrostic for Marguerite. I hope you like it.?
I love it Steve. You make me blush. Remember how we first met? You wiped the tears from my eyes. I am forever grateful to you, my dear friend.

My favorite line was:
Reaching cross the time zones
It just shows that you do not need to be next to someone to truly help them...I am learning this more and more as I interact with all of my friends on here
Reply:Many of the poets get excited
As she saunters down the way
Rarely missing a chance to catch an eye
Grand designs in the minds of many
Urgent desires, pants of plenty
Every eye is on her
Regarding each move she makes
Inching their way towards
Tenderness
Enchantment, delight, escape...
Reply:A fine poem dedicated to a very worthy woman. I really like the image "Reaching across the time zones." It is very visual and mysterious at the same time.

How can I tell if I have an original oil painting by the original artist?
I bought a painting at a flea market, and I have done some research. The artists name is "Marguerite Stuber Pearson". I have reason to belive this may be an original. Any ideas?
How can I tell if I have an original oil painting by the original artist?
First of all, an original painting is not necessarily worth anything other than what you pay for it- the painting might be valuable only if the artist is well-known. If this is the case, then you would need to research what is called "provenance;" this is the record of the ownership of the painting, as it has changed hands through auctions and what-not. Barring that, you would need to see an expert who is familiar with the artist's work, or even better, the artist himself, if he is still alive.
Reply:Go to a reputable Art Gallery and have it appraised. They should be able to tell you by just looking at it if it would be worth having it appraised. Appraisal is not expensive. Maybe about $50 -$100. If you do have it appraised and it is worth money bring your appraisal to your insurance and have it insured. Insurance is very reasonable.

Try a ancestry tree on the net. You might have better luck. Many unknown artist's work survived their families, If you see something in this painting that calls to you, don't second guess it. You were meant to have this painting.

But I can't find any info about the artist - sorry.

Why marguerite thatcher so called "The iron lady"?
In June 1975, Margaret Thatcher delivered a speech attacking detente. Six months later, the Soviets responded, calling her the "Iron Lady," according to Christopher Collins' 2003, National Review article, "The Full Thatcher".
Why marguerite thatcher so called "The iron lady"?
No nonsense and didn't put up with any B.S. She didn't play the games the boys did and liked to get things done. Truth hurts. What a gal. Remember the Falklands? She sure didn't beat around the bush and kiss anyones butt. Went right in there. Need more politicians like her.
Reply:because she ruled with an "iron fist". Hahaha. Joke.
Most probably because she lead with her strong personality, integrity and principles, and she wasn't moved by pressure.
Reply:She was very strong-willed and forged her way through her years as Prime Minister, making the changes that she wanted in the government.
Reply:I think it was a less crude way of saying "she had balls."
Reply:Iron Lady is a nickname that has frequently been used to describe female heads of government around the world. The term describes a "strong willed" woman. This iron metaphor was most famously applied to Margaret Thatcher, nicknamed so in 1976 by the Soviet media for her staunch opposition to communism.

What middle name is best for Gabrielle?.......Anna, Eva, Eden, Eve, Hope, Marguerite?
First name will be ''Gabrielle" and last name "Ezrow". Marguerite is a family name, but no one will be upset if we do not use it.
Thanks!!
What middle name is best for Gabrielle?.......Anna, Eva, Eden, Eve, Hope, Marguerite?
Gabrielle Eden
Gabrielle Hope
Reply:We named our baby girl "Gabrielle Hope". She was born 2 week ago. Thanks for your help!! Report It
Reply:I think that Gabriella will work better.
Gabriella Eden Ezrow
Gabriella Hope Ezrow
Gabriella Hope is my first pick
Reply:i like GABRIELLE MARGUERITE.
it really sounds unique... i mean, too many anna, eva, eden, eve, hope people in the world...
Reply:Eve - definitely.
Reply:I love, love Eden, but I think Hope flows better Marguerite is to long to be paired with a lon 1st name. Good choices.
Reply:Gabrielle Anna Ezrow
If you use any E middle names her initials will be "GEE". Kind of annoying, like "GEE What am I going to do today?"
Reply:Eden or hope
Reply:gabriella anna eva ezrow
Reply:If the first name has two or more syllables, it is best to go with a one syllable name for the middle name. If the first name is one syllable then go for two or more for the middle name. So if you are sure you are going to have Gabrielle for the 1st...go with Eve or Hope for the second. If you want to keep the Marguerite in her name, give her two middle names. For instance: Gabrielle Eve Marguerite Ezrow. Heaven help me...I have 3 middle names. LOL
God bless you and may you have a beautifully healthy baby. When is she due? Please email me to let me know your decision. I would love to hear. Thank you.
Reply:I like the sound of Gabrielle Heaven Ezrow. but Eden sounds good too. Good luck
Reply:Gabrielle Eveline Ezrow
Reply:Gabrielle... Nice name! Cute! Love it.
Gabrielle Eve or Gabrielle Hope is my favorite.
Reply:anna
Reply:I like Hope or Marguerite. I think it flows better with the first and last name not to have the middle name starting with a vowel.
Reply:Marguerite is very pretty, but it's too long for Gabrielle %26amp; hard to spell!
I love Eden, but Eve sounds the best. I'm not fond of the initials GE or GEE. How about Eden Marguerite (EME) or Marguerite Eden (MEE)?
Reply:Gabrielle Eve
Reply:When I first saw your question, I was thinking that her middle name needed to be a name for someone in your family, then when I read the details of your question and saw that one of them WAS a family name, I am sure that's what you should go with.
Gabrielle Marguerite. Definitely. :) It also avoids her initials spelling something. Trust me, that is not fun.
Good luck! :)
Reply:Eden flows best with Gabrielle.
Reply:Eden, it flows the best and will produce GEE for her initials.
Reply:Hope.
Hope is a very positive quality and since Gabrielle is an Angelic name,I say Bingo... Hope it is!
and yeah,Gabrielle Faith looks good to me too!

Reply:Definately Eve!!
Reply:I like Eva the best. It sounds elegant (as does Gabrielle) but still cute for a little girl.

I can't decide so I'll include both! Gabrielle is a long name so I think the one syllable middle name sound best! Good Luck!

Good luck

Reply:Gabrielle Hope
Reply:Definately Eve!!
Reply:I like Eva the best. It sounds elegant (as does Gabrielle) but still cute for a little girl.
