I am researching an artist Marguerite Reeb, who and where is she?
The first time you asked this question, Guess Who At Large found an indication of a person by this name in France, seemingly teaching painting at a school, but you chose another answer (having to do with genealogy and family trees, which could do nothing to help you) as best answer.

The second time you asked, Ellen M had found the same information as Guess Who At Large.

The third time (through Yahoo France), two other French answerers replied, one with the same answer (which you had acknowledged in your question), and one with a contact e-mail address you could try (although I can't figure out how she made the connection between M.R. and that association, which seems to be more of a sports association).

There seems to have been a Marguerite Reeb in New Orleans in the late 1800s.

Otherwise, the only other more-or-less contemporary Marguerite Reeb I have been able to find is a woman who lived in Texas and passed away 2 years ago, at the age of 98:

She was originally mentioned in an obituary for her sister (at least I believe it is the same person), a certain "Mary Clark", dating from 1997:

"Survivors include a son, Fray Smith of Amarillo; a daughter, Sara Johnson of Junction; a brother, John B. Hauge of Hobbs, N.M.; a sister, Marguerite Reeb of Dallas; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren."

It seems there's no other information on the Net... at least at this time. Whether "your" Marguerite is the lady who lived in Texas, or instead maybe the one who has something to do with painting in France... there's only one way to find out...

Find someone who can help you follow the two French leads you already have, someone who speaks and writes French and can attempt those contacts for you (at least the school one).

Here it seems useless to keep asking. At least wait a while before trying again.
